Commodity and EU-induced nerves push AUDUSD below parity
Gold rushed to new recent lows and close to strategic support Monday while commodities elsewhere, and risk appetite, were also weak on the day, pushing AUDUSD to just below the parity level.

Brent spec longs cut by 18 percent
Speculators have now cut their Brent crude long by almost one-third from the peak indicating that much of the speculative froth has almost been removed. The reduction was solely down to long liquidation with no build-up in short positioning.

Commodity CFTC: Gold longs at their lowest point since 2008
Hedge funds and other large investors cut bullish bets on rising commodity prices by the most since November as risk-off sentiment in the wake of the Greek election eased the appetite for higher risk assets. Gold longs the lowest since December 2008.

Commodities look for support after onslaught
Commodities suffered further losses this week as they were pressured by weaker fundamentals, a stronger dollar and investors needing to reduce exposure. It raises the question whether prices will soon stabilise - we think they will.

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts; EURUSD retains 1.2900 level
This market has so far had almost everything imaginable thrown at it, and still shows signs of resilience. News of Greece forming, abandoning and then re-forming governments keeps flashing by and yet EURUSD retains its line in the sand at 1.2900.

EURUSD failing to budge on Greece and more irksomeness ahead
The headlines going forward will mimic those that we saw Q4 2011 and Q1 2012, however the net result will be the same; Greece fails miserably, EURUSD doesn’t budge and we carry on. The more things stay the same the more they irk me.
